Chứng minh rằng với mỗi cấp số cộng $d_1, d_2, d_3,...$ ta đều có:
1. $S=\frac{1}{\sqrt{d_1}+\sqrt{d_2}}+\frac{1}{\sqrt{d_2}+\sqrt{d_3}}+...+\frac{1}{\sqrt{d_{n-1}}+\sqrt{d_n}}=\frac{n-1}{\sqrt{d_1}+\sqrt{d_n}}$
2. $J=d_1^2-d_2^2+d_3^2-...+d_{2k-1}^2-d_{2k}^2=\frac{k}{2k-1}(d_1^2-d_{2k}^2)$
1. Nhân tử và mẫu của mỗi phân số ở vế trái với biểu thức liên hợp của mẫu được:
$S=\frac{\sqrt{d_2}-\sqrt{d_1}}{d_2-d_1}+\frac{\sqrt{d_3}-\sqrt{d_2}}{d_3-d_2}+...+\frac{\sqrt{d_n}-\sqrt{d_{n-1}}}{d_n-d_{n-1}}$

$=\frac{1}{d}(\sqrt{d_2}-\sqrt{d_1}+...+\sqrt{d_n}-\sqrt{d_{n-1}})=\frac{\sqrt{d_n}-\sqrt{d_1}}{d}$

Vì $d_2-d_1=d_3-d_2=...=d_n-d_{n-1}=d$
Từ đó ta có:

$S=\frac{\sqrt{d_n}-\sqrt{d_1}}{d}=\frac{n-1}{\sqrt{d_n}+\sqrt{d_1}}$
2. Ta có: $d_1^2-d_2^2=(d_1-d_2)(d_1+d_2)=-d(d_1+d_2)$
                        ....
                   $d_{2k-1}^2-d_{2k}^2=-d(d_{2k-1}+d_{2k})$

Vậy $S=-d.\frac{d_1+d_{2k}}{2}.2k$
Nhưng $d_{2k}=d_1+d(2k-1)\Rightarrow d=\frac{d_{2k}-d_1}{2k-1} $, do đó:

$S=\frac{k}{2k-1}(d_1^2-d_{2k}^2)$
