Cho tam giác $ABC$ các góc $A,B,C$ theo thứ tự lập thành một cấp số nhân có công bội $q =2.$ Chứng minh rằng:

$(2)  \cos ^2 A+\cos ^2 B +\cos ^2C=\frac{ 5}{ 4} $

A + B + C = \pi \\
B = 2A\\
C = 4A
\end{array} \right.  \Leftrightarrow  \left\{ \begin{array}{l}
A = \frac{\pi }{7}\\
B = \frac{{2\pi }}{7}\\
C = \frac{{4\pi }}{7}
\end{array} \right.$
$1$. Theo định lí sin  cho $\Delta ABC$ :  $\frac{ 1}{a } =\frac{ 1}{ b} +\frac{ 1}{ c} $
            $\Leftrightarrow \frac{ 1}{2R \sin A } =\frac{ 1}{2R \sin B } +\frac{ 1}{ 2R \sin C}  \Leftrightarrow  \frac{1 }{\sin A } =\frac{ 1}{ \sin B} +\frac{ 1}{ \sin C} $
            $\Leftrightarrow \frac{ 1}{\sin \frac{ \pi}{ 7}  } =\frac{ 1}{\sin \frac{ 2\pi}{ 7}  } +\frac{ 1}{ \sin \frac{ 4\pi}{ 7} } $
            $\Leftrightarrow 2 \sin \frac{4\pi }{ 7} \sin \frac{ 2\pi}{ 7} = 2 \sin \frac{4\pi }{7 } \sin \frac{ \pi}{ 7} +2 \sin \frac{ 2\pi}{ 7} \sin \frac{ \pi}{ 7} $
            $\Leftrightarrow \cos \frac{ 2\pi}{7 } -\cos \frac{ 6\pi}{ 7} = \cos \frac{ 3\pi}{7 } -\cos \frac{ 5\pi}{ 7} +\cos \frac{ \pi}{ 7} -\cos \frac{ 3\pi}{ 7} $
            $\Leftrightarrow \cos \frac{ 2\pi}{7 } +\cos \frac{ 5\pi}{ 7} =\cos \frac{ \pi}{ 7} +\cos \frac{ 6\pi}{ 7} $. Đẳng thức này đúng vì : $\cos \alpha + \cos (\pi - \alpha ) = 0$
Do đó $(1)$ đúng.
$2$. $(2)  \Leftrightarrow   \left ( \frac{1+\cos 2A}{2}  \right )+   \left ( \frac{1+\cos 2B}{2}  \right )+ \cos^2C=\frac{5}{4}   $
          $\Leftrightarrow 1+ \cos (A+B) \cos (A-B)+\cos ^2C=\frac{5}{4} $
          $\Leftrightarrow 1-\cos C \left[ {\cos (A-B)+\cos (A+B)} \right]=\frac{5}{4}  $
          $\Leftrightarrow 1- 2 \cos A \cos B \cos C = \frac{ 5}{ 4} $  
          $\Leftrightarrow 2 \cos A \cos B \cos C = -\frac{ 1}{ 4}  \Leftrightarrow  \cos A \cos B \cos C = -\frac{ 1}{ 8} $
          $\Leftrightarrow M= \cos \frac{ \pi}{ 7} \cos \frac{ 2\pi}{ 7} \cos \frac{ 4\pi}{ 7} =-\frac{ 1}{ 8} $
Ta có:
          $M=\cos \frac{ \pi}{ 7} \cos \frac{2\pi }{7 } \cos \frac{ 4\pi}{ 7} \Leftrightarrow  2 \sin \frac{ \pi}{ 7} M = 2 \sin \frac{ \pi}{ 7} \cos \frac{ \pi}{ 7} \cos \frac{ 2\pi}{ 7} \cos \frac{ 4\pi}{ 7} $
          $\Leftrightarrow 2M \sin \frac{ \pi}{ 7} = \sin \frac{2\pi }{7 } \cos \frac{ 2\pi}{ 7} \cos \frac{ 4\pi}{ 7} $
          $\Leftrightarrow 4M \sin \frac{ \pi}{ 7} = 2 \sin \frac{ 2\pi}{ 7} \cos \frac{ 2\pi}{ 7} \cos \frac{ 4\pi}{ 7} $
          $\Leftrightarrow 8M \sin \frac{ \pi}{ 7} = 2 \sin \frac{ 4\pi}{ 7} \cos \frac{ 4\pi}{ 7} $
          $\Leftrightarrow 8 \sin \frac{ \pi}{ 7} M = \sin \frac{8\pi }{7 } $
          $M=\frac{\sin (\pi+\frac{ \pi}{ 7} ) }{ 8 \sin \frac{ \pi}{7 } } = - \frac{\sin \frac{ \pi}{ 7}  }{ 8 \sin \frac{ \pi}{ 7} } = -\frac{ 1}{ 8} $
Vậy đẳng thức $(2)$ được chứng minh.
