{D_x} = \left( {{a^3} - 1} \right)\left( {a + 1} \right) - \left( {a - 1} \right)\left( {{a^3} + 1} \right) = 2a\left( {a - 1} \right)\left( {a + 1} \right)\\
{D_y} = \left( {{a^2} - 1} \right)\left( {{a^3} + 1} \right) - \left( {{a^2} + 1} \right)\left( {{a^3} - 1} \right) =  - 2{a^2}\left( {a - 1} \right)
\end{array} $
Có các khả năng sau:
a.    Nếu  $ a \ne 0 \wedge a \ne 1 $
Hệ có nghiệm duy nhất:
  $ \begin{array}{l}
x = \frac{{{D_x}}}{D} = \frac{{2a\left( {a - 1} \right)\left( {a + 1} \right)}}{{2a\left( {a - 1} \right)}} = a + 1\\
y = \frac{{{D_y}}}{D} = \frac{{ - 2{a^2}\left( {a - 1} \right)}}{{2a\left( {a - 1} \right)}} =  - a
\end{array} $
b.    Nếu  $ a = 0 \Rightarrow D = {D_x} = {D_y} = 0 $
Hệ vô định
c.    Nếu  $ a = 1 \Rightarrow D = {D_x} = {D_y} = 0 $
Hệ vô định.
