Xét hàm số \(f\left( u \right) = \frac{{ - {u^2}}}{{u - 1}}\left( { - 1 \le u < 1} \right) \Rightarrow f'\left( u \right) = \frac{{ - {u^2} + 2u}}{{{{\left( {u - 1} \right)}^2}}}\)
Ta có bảng biến thiên

Do đó với \(\forall m \ge 0\), $(1)$ có nghiệm \(u \in \left[ { - 1,1} \right.)\)
$ \Rightarrow $ Hệ có nghiệm \(\forall m < 0\) thì $(1)$ không có nghiệm nào thuộc $[-1, 1]$ còn $(2)$ có \(\Delta  =  - 3{m^2} + 4m < 0 \Rightarrow \left( 2 \right)\) vô nghiệm
Suy ra hệ vô nghiệm.
Vậy hệ có nghiệm \( \Leftrightarrow m \ge 0\)
